Centiflow Web Portal – Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: May 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Centiflow Web Portal (“Platform”), operated by Centiflow Limited, a company incorporated under the laws of Kenya. By registering or using this Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
- Definitions
- Centiflowrefers to Centiflow Limited, the owner and operator of the Platform.
- Usermeans any person accessing or using the Platform, including Employers and Employees.
- Employerrefers to a registered company that has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Centiflow.
- Employeerefers to an individual who is registered on the Platform under a specific Employer.
- Salary Advancerefers to the short-term loan issued by Centiflow to an Employee based on the Employer’s approval.
- Eligibility and Registration
- Users must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts.
- Employees must be active staff members of a verified Employer on the Platform.
- Employers must be registered businesses in Kenya and must execute a Memorandum of Understanding before gaining access.
- User Obligations
For Employers:
- Ensure all data submitted (including employee information) is accurate and up-to-date.
- Review and approve or decline employee loan requests in a timely manner.
- Deduct approved repayments from employees’ salaries and remit the consolidated repayment to Centiflow by the agreed monthly deadline.
- Maintain confidentiality of access credentials and system usage.
For Employees:
- Provide truthful and complete information during registration and loan application.
- Use the platform solely for the purpose of accessing Centiflow salary advances.
- Ensure timely repayment of any amounts borrowed through agreed salary deductions.
- Loan Application and Disbursement
- Loans are only issued upon Employer approval.
- Centiflow reserves the right to reject or limit access to loans at its sole discretion.
- Disbursements will be made via M-Pesa or bank transfer.
- Loan interest (e.g. 5%) is deducted upfront.
- Repayment and Deductions
- All repayments are to be made through payroll deductions by the Employer.
- The Employer shall remit the total due amount for all employee advances by the 5th day of the following month.
- Failure to remit may attract penalties, and may affect the Employer’s continued access to the Platform.
- Fees and Charges
- No registration or usage fees are charged to Employers or Employees.
- The only cost to Employees is the interest on approved salary advances, which is communicated upfront.
- Data Privacy and Protection
- Centiflow complies with the Data Protection Act, 2019.
- All personal data collected will only be used for the intended purpose of service delivery, reporting, and compliance.
- Data may be shared with authorized third parties (e.g., payment providers) solely for operational purposes.
- Users have the right to access, amend, or request deletion of their data in accordance with the Act.
- Platform Access and Availability
- Centiflow strives to maintain uninterrupted access but does not guarantee 100% uptime.
- Maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen disruptions may result in temporary unavailability.
- Users are responsible for securing their login credentials.
- Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform, including software, logos, and documentation, is the property of Centiflow or its licensors and is protected under Kenyan copyright and intellectual property laws.
- Limitation of Liability
- Centiflow shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses incurred through use of the Platform.
- The Employer remains responsible for remitting deductions on time. Any breach on the Employer’s part may lead to liability for the outstanding amounts.
- Termination of Access
Centiflow may suspend or terminate access for any User found in violation of these Terms or in cases of fraud, misuse, or non-compliance.
- Amendments
Centiflow reserves the right to amend these Terms from time to time. Users will be notified of changes through the Platform, and continued use shall constitute acceptance of the updated Terms.
- Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan courts.
